Important Events & Webinars – JUNE/JULY Update
Here’s a brief summary of the latest unmissable professional development offerings coming up over the next few weeks from various government and local providers.
For Eumundi Chamber members, where available, registration and additional information is accessible in the EVENTS CALENDAR in Chamber’s Member Information Centre (MIC) online.
The Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) is helping businesses to prepare for reopening and to be competitive in a primarily domestic market for 2020/21 with free webinars through their Tourism Industry Business Capability Program: COVID-19 Restarting, Transitioning and Resilience.
Fully subsidised and made available through QTIC, the program and offered FREE for Tourism operators.
Commencing July 15, 2020, each operator will have access to 4 x FREE weekly webinars followed by 4 one-to-one 60-minute coaching/mentoring sessions.
Please note that membership of QTIC is not essential.
Webinars can be attended by businesses that provide a direct service or experience to the leisure tourist and operates within ONE of the following categories: Accommodation; Attraction; Food and Drink; Events; Tour; Hire, and Transport.

Tourism Events Queensland’s (TEQ) Conversations With Industry Sunshine Coast, in partnership with Visit Sunshine Coast (VSC) will be held virtually on 6 August 2020 at 10am.
This is your opportunity to connect with the latest insights, TEQ’s marketing activities and opportunities to get involved.
Questions are invited from participants, but are to be submitted with registrations.
Registrations essential with TEQ online by 9am Thursday 6 August, 2020.
The Queensland Government has partnered with globally successful online training company GO1.com to provide a library of approximately 400 free online courses tailored to small business.
Designed to aid in the recovery of Queensland small businesses impacted by COVID-19 the GO1 Queensland Small Business Skills hub is available free to small businesses with less 20 staff and a registered ABN.
Offered as on-demand learning to business owners, courses cover everything from IT skills through to sales and marketing and leadership skills, providing small business and employees with skills needed now and in the months to come as we start to grow Queensland’s economy again.
Current modules include: Foundation Business Skills; Leading a Successful Business; Connecting Business and Customer, and Digital Skills & Adapting to Change.
Business owners and operators can also launch a customised training portal for their workplace to allow their employees to access professional development in areas such as soft skills and IT.
Please note that these courses are accessible as flexible delivery through to the end of 2020. Access is free but registration is required.
